The situation in South Korea according to Gordon G. Chang

Gordon Chang, a well-known expert on East Asia, recently appeared on Fox News claiming that the Chinese Communist Party is behind America's turmoil.

 

 

On the 23rd, during the '2025 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC),' Gordon Chang addressed the crisis in South Korea, marking a rare occasion where a close associate of Trump specifically mentioned the current political situation in the country.

 

"South Korea has been experiencing political turmoil recently," Chang noted. "There have been large-scale subversive activities by North Korea and the Chinese Communist Party within South Korea, attempting to shift their government to the left."

 

He continued, "President Yoon considered discussing martial law, but the process might have been a bit clumsy. However, this was due to the organized and well-funded subversive activities aiming to take over the government. Now, South Korea is facing real political chaos."

 

 

Chang added, "Beyond the threat from North Korea, the biggest challenge South Korea faces is its demographic issue. The population is declining. They have one of the lowest birth rates in the world, and it's almost as if people have stopped having children. They're not dating, not marrying, and not having kids. This population collapse is a genuine issue that could hit South Korea."
