What does "The Planned Failure of Martial Law" mean?

Although I had my doubts, it seems clear that the South Korean president's declaration of martial law was orchestrated to fail. The question is, why? What was the intention behind it?

Based on various media reports,

It appears that the National Assembly was on standby to impeach three prosecutors, including the Chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection, Choi Jae-hae, and the Chief Prosecutor of the Central District Prosecutors' Office. Knowing this, the president declared martial law at that exact time, allowing the waiting members of the National Assembly to easily meet the quorum needed to lift martial law. If the president had genuinely intended to enforce martial law, they would not have chosen such a day. In other words, the president induced the National Assembly to pass a resolution to lift martial law. Additionally, it seems that the military was instructed to deploy an hour after the announcement, without live ammunition, and close to midnight. The martial law troops, who were deployed without live ammunition, effectively allowed additional members of the National Assembly to enter. They even allowed people to climb over the walls. This would have been impossible without orders from the military commanders. The martial law troops acted like scarecrows and were overwhelmed by the citizens, likely due to orders to avoid any casualties. During the National Assembly's resolution to lift martial law, the president took no additional actions.

In the end, over six hours, the constitution was followed:

1) the president declared martial law according to the constitution,

2) the National Assembly requested the lifting of martial law according to the constitution, and

3) the president lifted martial law according to the constitution.

This sequence of events, which might seem orchestrated to outsiders, is unprecedented in world history.

Considering these circumstances, the martial law declaration event can be interpreted as an act of governance by the president, who, as a guardian of the constitution, expected and executed the effects of emergency powers in response to the opposition's routine impeachment rebellion and the people's court rebellion against the prosecution and judiciary.

This incident revealed the dismal state of South Korean media. Unable to distinguish friend from foe or grasp the situation, the media trembled, inciting indiscriminately by putting strange people at the forefront and talking about punishing for rebellion. Now, I don't want to watch the news anymore. If the president's constitutional exercise of power is rebellion, then the 22 illegal impeachments by the opposition are 'organized rebellion.' While one might criticize whether there was no other way, it is clear that the Constitutional Court should request the dissolution of the opposition party as a party for the people.

It has been confirmed that constitutional emergency powers can be exercised to mobilize troops if necessary. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. If the National Assembly continues to operate as it does now, disregarding constitutional practices and trampling on the constitution without restraint, it could lead to serious consequences. I can see how the situation will unfold. The truth cannot be hidden. Time will tell.
